New year
Almost two weeks into the new year, and I'm just now posting. From my phone no less, while the laptop just sits in sleep mode beside me. Short and sweet: new year, new job, new challenges, new adventures. More soon!

Fell off the good food wagon
| We both had the beef burgers, but you can do fish, chorizo (traditional) etc. |
| The garlic cilantro lime fries were amazing! |
All in all it was a delicious weekend. Since then I have been getting back on track, green smoothies in the morning, brown bagging lunch, and trying to stay far, far away from the snacks and sodas in the office kitchen. Every day isn't perfect healthy food wise, but as long as I make an effort then I'm happy.

First Post!
I'm starting a blog (I know, duh captain obvious), partly for something to do, partly to stay accountable to new challenges, and partly to get things out of my head and into the world. This is as much as for me as for anyone who may read this, but if you enjoy anything on this site then that's great. I'll do my absolute best to cite all sources, locations, and general details of anything posted, and to post regularly from now on.
So, day 1 challenge 1: blog.
Green Smoothie Week
In an attempt to be healthier all around (and because they are delicious) I have been making smoothies almost every morning. Basic recipe is low calorie vanilla almond milk, spinach and a banana. After that I'll add OJ, Blueberries, or whatever frozen fruit is available. The spinach is pretty much undetectable, all the yummy sugars from the fruit take care of that. Except for the wild green color, you wouldn't know. Promise. Everyone at the office has stopped freaking out about the green smoothies for the most part.

Specifics on the smoothies: cup of liquid (vanilla almond milk, low call), approx. 1 cup fresh organic spinach (I grab an over-sized handful) , one banana, and approx 1/3-1/2 cup of berries. If I don't add berries I'll add some OJ and cut back on the almond milk
